Lonnie Jackson has always been passionate about education and has spent his entire life pursuing this passion. He is a public servant, leader, educator, and community advocate. Lonnie has lived in Fall Creek since December 2003 and has volunteered on several committees. Committees he has served on in the Fall Creek communities include Safety, Pool, and Park. He obtained a Bachelor’s in Sociology and followed it up with a Master’s in Educational Leadership, and these degrees set the base for his career.
Lonnie Jackson is an incredible choice for the position 4 of Humble ISD School Board because of his contributions to the Humble School District. He was a member of WCID when they agreed to make yearly donations to Fall Creek Elementary, Wood Creek Middle School, and Summer Creek High School. Lonnie Jackson knew he wanted to contribute to the community and has spent the last 22 years in the field of education as a teacher, team leader, Special Education department chair and campus administrator. He has focused his career on working in special education as a teacher and administrator. Not only is he certified by the Texas Education Agency as a Principal, he is also certified by and has worked with the Harris County Department of Education Leadership Council. His speciality/focus areas are Special Education and the University Interscholastic League operations. Lonnie has continued to work closely with responding to interventions and 504 programs. He also has a history of advocating for parents and students in the Humble community and gave career guidance when necessary.
To further help Humble, Atascocita, and Kingwood’s communities, he became a board member for the (ABA )Atascocita Basketball Association. Through his role there, he provided the necessary guidance and leadership to students to improve their academic, athletic, and performances.
Aside from his prolific career in education, Lonnie is an entrepreneur and a member and Deacon at the Luke Church in Humble, Texas. He is a gifted leader and uses his talents and skills to create a better environment to raise current and future children.
In addition to contributing to the educational field, he serves as a Director of the Water Control Improvement District (WCID) #96. Within his capacity, he does everything to advocate for inclusive reforms and controls that are beneficial to the diverse group of people who are a part of the district.
What makes Lonnie the ideal choice is his incredible passion for education. As a young man, he has always shared the vision of the importance of education. Lonnie ultimately chose to grow within education and serves as a Volunteer with the Greater Houston Frontier Club. His dream is to use this position to create college opportunities for students in the healthiest possible environment for passionate future athletes to develop their talents.
Outside of his official duties, Lonnie is kind and approachable and works as a community volunteer to do his part in uplifting the lives of people around him. He is a devoted family man and has been married to his wife, Renae, for 29 years. Together, they have a beautiful blended family of 4 children and one grandchild.
His lifetime of achievements, contributions, and consistent work towards uplifting the community is a testament to his dedication. His diverse educational and professional backgrounds have equipped him with the insights and leadership required to lead the Board of Trustees. He can leverage his experience to provide informed recommendations and make optimal decisions on behalf of the Humble ISD stakeholders.
